If you are looking for a hilarious, adventurous, fun for the family, movie–Disney’s “Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good Very Bad Day” movie needs to be on your weekend movie list! This movie stars the very talented and funny “Steve Carell” and the beautiful and amazing actress “Jennifer Garner”. I have had many people ask if they should go and see it, and I say “YES, you should!”!!
The movie is about an 11 year old boy named Alexander (played by Ed Oxenbould) who just experiences the worst day of his life. Alexander finds out he is not alone. His mom (Garner), dad (Carell), brother (Dylan Minnette), and sister (Bella Thorne) end up having a super duper terrible day as well. You and your family will find yourselves laughing out loud during most of the movie. Although you feel very terrible for the bad things that happen you recognize the crazy comedy and the great message at the end. This movie is based on a book so no need to worry about any spoilers because a lot of people have read the book.
This is a great family movie and it is really funny! Definitely going to be a classic! The movie itself is the complete opposite from “terrible”, “horrible”, and “no good!”!!!
There are some horrible moments in the Cooper’s day but while watching you want to cover your face from laughing so hard. Although their day is exaggerated many people can definitely relate to having days that are way off-the-charts-terrible. The movies ends with a very positive message, leaving you smiling! There is nothing like finding a movie that will put your entire family in a good mood!
Disney’s “Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day” follows the exploits of 11-year-old Alexander (Ed Oxenbould) as he experiences the most terrible and horrible day of his young life—a day that begins with gum stuck in his hair, followed by one calamity after another. But when Alexander tells his upbeat family about the misadventures of his disastrous day, he finds little sympathy and begins to wonder if bad things only happen to him. He soon learns that he’s not alone when his mom (Jennifer Garner), dad (Steve Carell), brother (Dylan Minnette) and sister (Kerris Dorsey) all find themselves living through their own terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day. Anyone who says there is no such thing as a bad day just hasn’t had one. “Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day,” directed by Independent Spirit Award-winner Miguel Arteta (“The Good Girl,” “Cedar Rapids,” “Youth in Revolt”) from a screenplay by Rob Lieber, is a 21 Laps Entertainment/Jim Henson Company production. The film hits theaters nationwide Oct. 10, 2014.
