I love my memory foam mattress, slippers, and pillow. I have been using the SAME pillow since I got married and I am coming up on my 10 year anniversary. Are you thinking, what I was thinking? Time for a NEW pillow! I just switched out my pillow to try the a new Nature’s Sleep ViTEX Memory Foam + Gel pillow. There were some positives and negatives to switchings and so far the positives out weigh the negatives! This is going to be an honest review like always!
The first time I used the pillow I can literally feel the coolness from the Gel. The gel side is always slightly cooler than the non gel side of the pillow. I shared my initial reaction as I was laying in bed about this pillow being magical and how much of a better sleep I was going to get.
This pillow is much thicker than my old pillow…and…it does NOT hurt my neck!
My allergies did feel a little better! I am allergic to dust mites. Anyone who suffers from allergies knows that the allergies get the best of you during this time. I was suffering from a cold and allergies really bad lately and I honestly believe switching out my pillow helped!
The only thing I wish could have changed was that new pillow smell that takes a few days to go away. It is the same smell I get with any new bedding that I have ever purchased. Spraying a little fabric spray and letting it set does help! I now can’t smell it.
I still found myself flipping the pillow over to the cool side. Perhaps I am just OCD about it, but I really love COLD pillows. It was hard for me to tell whether or not the cool side was cooler longer or not.
