During my visit to L.A. for the Thor and Delivery Man Red Carpet I was able to spend a half day in Disneyland! I was the very first group (from the general public) to visit the Thor exhibit! I knew nothing about the exhibit prior to going and I was pleasantly surprised and appreciated every moment of it! The room is filled with many “treasures” from Asgard! After having the opportunity to check out all of the treasures the room darkens, you hear a voice over, and you enter Asgard! There in Asgard you are greeted by the man himself–Thor! We were never told that we were going to meet Thor! If you read through the treasures and signs prior to entering the exhibit you would have figured it out.
Here are some of the “Treasures”:
If you are a fan of Thor you will definitely want to check out this exhibit while you can!
What did I think of Disneyland!? It was amazing! We were only there half of a day but you will definitely want to spend more time there if possible! We were able to ride SEVERAL rides, walk around, and EAT! It was definitely magical and FUN! Our very first ride was Indiana Jones. I didn’t realize it was an actual “RIDE”. I thought it would move around like “It’s A Small World Ride” but that we would be in a Jeep instead of a boat. Well I screamed the entire time! Apparently there is a part that feels like a big rock is rolling toward you. I missed it! My eyes must have been shut while I was screaming! 🙂 I am a big wimp but I do LOVE rides like this! I am afraid of heights but still want to do fun rides!
My husband and I discussed finding a time to visit Disneyland as a family. This is the time of year with all of their Holiday Events:
The Disneyland Resort just gets merrier, starting Nov. 12, 2013, with all our traditional Holiday favorites plus these new additions:
“World of Color – Winter Dreams” premieres Nov. 15. This is an all-new, holidays version of the very popular “World of Color” nighttime, water spectacular at Disney California Adventure Park.
“Disney ¡Viva Navidad!” – This new celebration, inspired by Latino culture and celebrations, features music, food, dancing and an exciting Street Party multiple times a day. It begins Nov. 15 at Disney California Adventure. This precedes our Jan. 3-6 Dia De Los Reyes celebration for Three Kings Day.
Jingle Cruise – The Jungle Cruise skippers decorate for the Holidays and add some fun new jokes to their riverboat tour, at Disneyland Park. |
