Do your kids have a Little Tikes Turtle Sandbox? Here is your chance to get one for FREE! I had the fun opportunity to pick out something to review from Little Tikes and I knew this one would be a hit! My daughter LOVES playing outside and exploring! We did a rock mining activity the other day and she was LOVING it! So being able to play in her own sand would be a lot of fun. Little Tikes had a few sandboxes to pick from. I definitely wanted one with a lid since it goes under one of our HUGE trees in the backyard, plus my daughter and I are scared of bugs! The turtle one was the one I thought was the cutest but Little tikes as two. They have their 33rd Anniversary addition that has a little water lazy pool that goes around the entire turtle and then they have the traditional NEW one that I picked where their are two little seats on the turtle. Here is what I LOVED most about the sandbox I picked out:

  1.  It was NOT messy.  The two little seats allowed my daughter to sit on them and also have the option to put her feet in the sand.  When she was done we dusted off the sand from her hands, washed them, and you would have never guessed she was out in a sandbox!
  2. The lid has helped keep the bugs and tree leaves and limbs away!  (Oh and snakes!  BUT that is a story I will leave out…okay YES we did see a garden snake and it scared the bejeezus out of me!!)
  3. Sturdy and a perfect size to not look awkward in my backyard and it didm’ t take too much sand to fill it up.

When being asked to be a Little Tikes ambassador, I jumped on the chance. Not only did I have Little Tikes toys growing up, but my daughter has them too. Little Tikes does an amazing job and encouraging active play for kids.

Earlier in the week we found a box turtle! We watched it for about 10 minutes and then set it free! :)

This sandbox was my daughter’s 4th Birthday Gift from me :). What makes the story crazy is that a couple of days before we found a turtle in our yard. I have NEVER found a turtle before! We kept it in a box to get it away from my dogs for about 10 minutes and set it free. So the night before her birthday I told her we needed to go outside and look for turtles, that is how she found her sandbox!

    Two things. I love the lid to keep the neighborhood cats out. I also love that it can double as both a swimming pool, and a drink cooler for parties! (my neighbor has one and used it for her last party!)

    I love that it has the seats! My daughter loves to get messy but she gets a big kick out of sitting on steps/chairs/big rocks…. just about anything. 😀

    It’s a close call between the seats and cover but I am going with the cover so the sandbox doesn’t turn into a litter box. Gross!!!

    I would love to have this sandbox for my son. It is so cute and I love the little seats that the child can sit on. Having a lid on the sandbox is perfect for keeping bugs and other animals out of the sandbox.

    The lid! You absolutely need a lid to keep the bugs out! My kids used to play with one at My Gym filled with balls from a ball pit.

    I’ve always loved the Turtle Sandbox but we’ve never had one. And I love that it has a lid – with all the critters we have around our house we need a lid!
