Guess what rolled through Kansas City just ahead of the ALDS with the Royals?!?! This amazing little Airstream loaded with all the new goodies from Nintendo! Not even the new goodies, the future goodies, the stuff that hasn’t even come out yet! It was awesome. The hubby said I had to take him with him, and in the parking lot across from the sports complex in Kansas City we met with Marcus and he walked us through all of the new titles coming out later this year. HOLY COW was this fun!
The first question out of hubby’s mouth is “What games do you have coming out that I’ll like? Seems like you guys are kind of just targeting to kids.” Without batting an eye Marcus pulled out a game with an “M” rating. So the hubby started playing Bayonetta 2. This is one of the wildest games I’ve ever seen. He’s playing as a witch, equipped with guns and fighting half men half horses on top of a plane. On top of that her clothes are her hair, so there’s times she appears to be naked. It’s honestly just crazy! Imagination times 1000!!!
After a few minutes I made Marcus refocus on what kids are going to want from Nintendo this year…wow is there a lot of really cool stuff coming out! Amiibo will be a fan favorite. A much easier interface than skylanders with all of your favorite Nintendo charectors! With a split release between November and December, these will become instantly popular and collectable.
Wiiu has a bunch of new titles coming out. The two that I’m most looking forward to are Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker and Super Smash Bros! They are both so fun, and I’m so much better at Super Smash Bros than the hubby, all he wanted to do was play more Bayonetta 2!
This hour went by way too fast, but I was thrilled to have been invited to such a cool sneak peak!
How did I get invited to this event?: The Experience Nintendo Airstream Tour – during the past few years, Nintendo has taken its highly visual, Mario-branded airstream trailer on a nationwide tour in order to give media in various local markets the opportunity to check out the newest in video games and interactive entertainment.
