I was invited to attend a special screening in New York of the new movie Suffragette. This Suffragette movie review is my personal feelings about the film. Giveaway is sponsored by Focus Films.
What a perfect timing for the new movie release “Suffragette” for the world! I have been invited to a High Tea with the women behind this movie. This movie about the women from the 1920s who were willing to lose everything in their fight for woman equality and the right to vote. These women joined a secret movement that went against authorities to fight for woman rights. It was their Suffragette movement that caused the debate and helped raise awareness across the world about giving women the right to vote.
Although Suffragette takes the focus on fighting for equality across nations, it is also about fighting for what you believe in when it comes to creating a loving and fair world. Life is so tough, people can be so mean, life is very unfair, and depending on the situation we can always try to fix it.

Generally I do feel educated enough on the issues. I listen to NPR for 8 hours a day, so I’m pretty well informed. I try to look at an issue from different points of view. For most issues I can find pieces of both sides that I agree with. It’s a shame that our politics has become so polarized that we can’t take action on those areas where the two sides overlap.

I was a Political Science major in college so knowledgeable voting has always been very important to me. I always make it a point to get to know each candidate’s platform and dig deep enough to find out if they really mean what they say based on congressional voting patterns (provided they’re the incumbent candidate and available).

My husband and I do a weekly political podcast (called The Ignorance Equation-shameless plug!), so I do a TON of research on all the issues and candidates, but I’m sure there is still quite a bit I don’t know.
