PEEPS® are one of my favorite Easter snacks! They are really addicting and OH SO YUMMY! I love how many different PEEPS® they have available. My chocolate covered PEEPS® AND the Chick in a Hollow Milk Chocolate Egg are probably my favorite! My weakness is chocolate! I made a fun recipe that is yummy and frugal with some of my Easter PEEPS®! Be sure to read the following recipe:
Here is a really simple Easter Recipe you can create with kids! There are many variations that you can do like adding sprinkles and forming it into a ball and sticking it on a stick for a “Marshmallow Popcorn Pop”. PEEPS® can be found in most stores or online at www.peepsandcompany.com.
Ingredients:
–Popped Pop Corn (I used 94% low fat. Whatever you do, don’t use the buttery popcorn).
–PEEPS®: any color! Available in four, twelve and sixteen count packages and in colors yellow, purple, pink, orange, green and blue. SRP: $0.99-$1.19 for 4 ct package, $1.08-1.69 for 12 ct package and $1.89-$2.49 for 16 ct package.
Steps:
- First pop your popcorn and place it to the side.
- Melt your PEEPS® in a mug or bowl by placing it in the microwave and melt it doing it in 30 minute increments and stir it.
- This is the messy part. In a mixing bowl poor the marshmallow over the popcorn and then as it sticks together pull it a part and wrap it around itself. Pull and then take the stretched our marshmallow and keep spinning it around your popcorn ball. Place in a serving dish and you are ready for some PEEPS® Marshmallow popcorn.
This year PEEPS® Easter offerings include:
Disclaimer: I was sent PEEPS® samples but all opinions are my own!
